Wedding Videos as Unique as you

The philosophy behind Jai Ivarsson Videography is simple. It is about creating a record of your wedding day that is personalised and reflects what the day means to the couple. Watching your wedding video is about being able to relive the day and share memories over and over again.

Jai Ivarsson Videography is based in Auckland and on the Coromandel. However we can do a wedding video elsewhere on request.

Having a Wedding Videographer at your wedding allows everyone involved to be able to just enjoy being in the moment - it takes the pressure off having to remember everything as it happens, and allows you to just enjoy every aspect of the day.

Jai believes that the filming of the footage is just part of a DVD production and before he works with any couple he sits down with them and gets a feel of what is important to them and the aspects of the day they wish to capture.

However, no matter how much planning goes into a wedding something always changes or there are those unique unplanned for moments that often make the day. Jai believes it is vital to be continually alert to ensure these are captured. Being in constant communication with the Bridal party and working as a team with the photographer is the key to achieving this. Its all about being present, but not appearing to be present, so the day is capturing without intrusion.

Once the big day is over, Jai's work has only just begun. The footage is then captured, edited and produced in Final Cut Studio (the same software used at the BBC and many Hollywood studios).

The skill is in using the technical and creative tools and expertise to create the finished product. Once the footage is edited, the lighting and sound is mastered to create the optimum record of the day.

I like to meet with the couple about 2 weeks after the wedding to take them through the initial footage and to get feedback on the creative process. Despite all the planning there are always unexpected moments during the day, and so often it's these things that become the favourite parts of the day.

As with all creative processes, it's important that I have a check to make sure that I'm creatively taking things in the right direction. At this meeting we assess the work required to finish, and advise you of a time frame. I aim to turn it around about 2 weeks from that meeting, but because I don't work to a formula and I'm creating a custom DVD, I can't put an exact time frame on it.
