Jai's part in Josh & Amy's big day came after the event - they had the footage and Jai edited it for them!Josh and Amy's ceremony took place at the Holy Family Catholic Church church in Te Atatu. This was followed by the reception at the Ngataringa Sports Lounge, Devonport.
Josh and Amy's strong Christian faith inspired the highlights which were set to "Always and Forever" by Planetshakers - a song that featured in the ceremony.
Josh's scottish heritage was apparent during the day with he and the groomsmen in kilts of the family tartan and Amy wearing a tartan scarf on her arm in traditional Scottish fashion.
At the reception there was no hint of tradition in the speeches - it was done Sports Cafe style! Says Amy "We wanted to do something different and creative instead of the usual open speeches. The interview style of Sports Cafe gave each speaker some structure around what they said and discouraged anyone from rattling on and on!" Jai edited this section to incorporate the familiar elements of the show, such as opening credits and live sounding music to welcome each guest.
To create the DVD menu Jai borrowed the scarf and filmed it moving as if it was in the wind.
"We were really impressed with the way Jai edited the footage." says Amy. "Even though he wasn't there he took what material we gave him and made it creative, yet it still portrayed our day just the way we planned it!"
